1. Be Yourself

Authenticity & Honesty

Do This

  • Use your real name and age
  • Upload genuine, recent photos of yourself
  • Be honest about your intentions and interests
  • Complete face verification for the verified badge
  • Share your authentic personality in your bio

Don't Do This

  • Create fake profiles or impersonate others
  • Use photos of celebrities, models, or other people
  • Use heavily filtered or misleading photos
  • Lie about your age (must be 18+ to use Flint)
  • Create multiple accounts

2. Respect Others

Kindness & Dignity

Do This

  • Treat everyone with kindness and respect
  • Accept rejection gracefully
  • Respect boundaries when someone asks you to stop
  • Be patient - not everyone responds immediately
  • Give genuine, personality-focused compliments

Don't Do This

  • Send unwanted explicit messages or photos
  • Harass users who don't respond or reject you
  • Make offensive, discriminatory, or hateful comments
  • Body shame or insult others
  • Stalk or repeatedly contact someone after being blocked

3. Keep It Appropriate

Content Standards

Do This

  • Keep profile photos clean and appropriate
  • Have respectful, friendly conversations
  • Use humor in a lighthearted way
  • Share beach or gym photos in proper context
  • Express yourself while respecting others

Don't Do This

  • Post nudity, explicit, or sexual content
  • Send unsolicited explicit messages or requests
  • Share violent, graphic, or disturbing content
  • Use vulgar or abusive language
  • Post content that promotes illegal activities

4. Stay Safe

Personal Safety

Do This

  • Complete face verification for trust
  • Meet in public, well-lit locations for first dates
  • Use the "Share Your Date" feature
  • Video chat before meeting in person
  • Report suspicious behavior immediately

Don't Do This

  • Share your home address, workplace, or financial details
  • Send money to people you haven't met
  • Meet in private or isolated locations initially
  • Get into someone's car on the first date
  • Leave drinks or personal items unattended

5. No Spam or Scams

Integrity & Honesty

Do This

  • Be genuine in your intentions
  • Have real, meaningful conversations
  • Keep personal information secure
  • Report scams or suspicious activity
  • Protect your account credentials

Don't Do This

  • Ask for money for any reason
  • Promote businesses, products, or services
  • Use the app for commercial solicitation
  • Send spam or copy-paste messages to everyone
  • Use bots, automation, or manipulative tactics

6. Respect Privacy

Data Protection

Do This

  • Keep conversations private and confidential
  • Respect others' personal information
  • Ask permission before sharing content
  • Report privacy violations
  • Use discretion with sensitive information

Don't Do This

  • Screenshot conversations to share publicly
  • Share someone's photos without permission
  • Dox or expose users' personal information
  • Post private conversations on social media
  • Collect or exploit others' personal data

7. Report Problems

Community Safety

When to Report

Report anyone who:

  • Harasses, bullies, or threatens you
  • Sends inappropriate or explicit content
  • Has a fake profile or impersonates someone
  • Asks for money or attempts a scam
  • Makes threats or shows violent behavior
  • Violates any of these Community Guidelines

How to Report

In the App:

  1. Go to the user's profile
  2. Tap the menu (⋯) icon
  3. Select "Report"
  4. Choose the reason and submit

All reports are confidential and reviewed within 24 hours.

8. Consequences for Violations

Enforcement Policy

We take Community Guidelines seriously. Violations result in:

Warning

First-time minor violations result in a warning with explanation and guidance.

Temporary Suspension

Repeated offenses or serious violations lead to temporary account suspension (1-30 days).

Permanent Ban

Severe violations result in permanent account deletion and may be reported to authorities.

Zero Tolerance (Immediate Permanent Ban)

Any content involving minors (immediately reported to authorities)
Violent threats or credible danger to others
Scams targeting vulnerable users
Solicitation of illegal services
Repeated fake profiles after prior warnings
Sexual exploitation or trafficking

Appeals Process

If you believe your account was wrongly suspended, email within 30 days with your account details and explanation. We review all appeals within 15 business days. legal@flint.app
